Second Life Proposal

After briefly looking into Second Life, I proposed to the rest of the team as part of the experimentation that we could demonstrare in Second Life how an environmentally friendly regenerated area would work. This is something we have opted to speak with seinor lecturer Jill Egglestone about in our meeting next week. We hope to uncover whether or not it would be feasible to create in the real world.

After approaching Alison Johnson and Michael Hall earlier today, Their reactions were reasonably positive for us to investigate the potential advantages and disadvantages further. My personal intention was to incorporate Second Life into the project to obtain a widespread evaluation of our proposals, By creating buildings and spaces in this program and incorporating the sustainable elements suggested, we could receive feedback from existing users on the positives and negetives of our concepts and change them to suit with Zero carbon concequences. Once the design is right, then the building can be constructed in real life.

I feel, if all goes to plan virtual simulation could be the new way in which experimentation and feasibility is carried out for future projects.
